Wong as new JCI Seduan president

SIBU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Seduan and the JCI Youth of University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) jointly held their installation and awards presentation ceremony at UTS campus today (Apr 14).

This marked the 45th installation for JCI Seduan and the ninth for JCI Youth UTS, witnessed by Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng Jin Ek as the guest of honour.

Vincent Wong Siew Nguong was installed as the new president of JCI Seduan, succeeding the outgoing president, Siow Kok Ping.

For JCI Youth UTS, Poi Khoy Zhe assumed the role of president, taking over from Ling How Ping.

In his speech, Wong expressed his sincere gratitude to the outgoing president and all the members who have dedicated their efforts to JCI Seduan.

“As the new president of JCI Seduan, I am fully aware of the heavy responsibilities that lie ahead. We will continue to uphold the core values of JCI, committed to nurturing young leaders, promoting community development, and fostering international friendships,” he said.

“We will unite and collaborate, harnessing more strength and creating more opportunities to make greater contributions to society. In the days ahead, we will actively plan and carry out a series of diverse activities, including community service projects, professional development training, and international exchanges,” Wong asserted.

He said that the organisation would work closely with partners from all walks of life to explore effective ways to address social issues and strive to create a more harmonious and prosperous social environment.

At the same time, he encouraged all members to actively participate in JCI Seduan’s activities, leveraging their talents and creativity to inject new vitality into the organisation.
