MIRI: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak here invites the public to its upcoming workshop on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) titled “Feeding The Earth: Converting Food Waste Into Fertiliser,” on September 9.

Set to take place in Pustaka Miri’s audio-visual room, the workshop will run from 9 am to 11 am.

This initiative is a joint effort by Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri, Curtin University, and the Miri City Council (MCC).

The main goals are to deepen our understanding of sustainability, lessen environmental strain, and equip participants with skills to make eco-friendly choices.

All these efforts aim to leave a lasting positive mark on our community and our world, paving the way for a better tomorrow.

Mathew Benson from the Miri City Council (MCC), renowned as a green ambassador, will lead the workshop. He will delve into Bokashi Composting, demonstrating easy ways to turn food scraps into organic fertiliser.

Joining him are facilitators from Curtin University: Michelle Phua and Crystal Lau.
