KUCHING: A local man reported missing while looking for clams in a river at Kampung Tabuan Lot, has been found safe and sound late last night (Feb 18).
The 24-year-old was brought back to his home by firemen from Tabuan Jaya station around 11.20pm.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received an emergency call pertaining to the missing man around 9.20pm.
According to the village chief, the man had gone out to the river as early as 5.30am to look for clams.
However, until the report was made, the man did not come home.
It only took about two hours for the victim to be found safe and unharmed.
Following that, the search was called off around 11.45pm.
