KUCHING: A total of 118 persons received state awards and medals from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud during an investiture ceremony at the Dewan Besar, Astana Negeri, Petra Jaya yesterday (Feb 23).
Heading the list of recipients were Pandan Taie @Alfred Padan Taie and David Yeo Ang Lim who received the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) award.
Seven persons received the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK) award namely Jamalie Busri, Jawan Nyaun, Sim Soon Tian, Hillary Mawan Antar, Loh Ling Tai, Horaira @Horairah Hanapi and David Melai Maga.
The public service award – Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB), went to 11 recipients including Superintendent Aidil Bolhassan, Superintendent Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad and ASP Ahmad Abang.
Twenty -one received the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) award; 10 – the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK); 28 received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) while Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS) award was given to 39 individuals.
Also present at the ceremony was Yang di-Pertua Negeri’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib.
