KUALA LUMPUR: Out of a total of 151 local authorities, 119 received four-star rating through the Local Authorities Star Rating System (SPB-PBT) evaluation carried out nationwide last year.
Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister, Senator Datuk Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad Baharuddin Shah said the rating was based on 50 evaluation indicators that were in line with the 17 goals outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
“The achievements of the local councils are in line with the SDG of eradicating poverty in whatever form in all areas, and ensuring access to water supply and sanitation for all, and that the townships are inclusive and sustainable,” he said in the Dewan Rakyat today. – Bernama
