BINTULU: Assistant Minister of Native Laws and Customs, Datuk John Sikie Tayai, led 120 frontliners in this district to receive the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday.

When met after his inoculation at Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus, Sikie urged people in the district to register for the vaccination and not listen to any misleading information on the Covid-19 vaccine in social media.

“The vaccine offers hope for the country to be free of Covid-19 virus,” he said.

Also receiving his first jab of the Covid-19 vaccine were Samalaju assemblyman Majang Renggie and Tanjong Batu assembylman Chiew Chiu Sing.

Meanwhile, frontliners who were early recipients of the Pfizer Biontech vaccine urged other members of the public not to be afraid to get their Covid-19 vaccine shots to protect them from the virus.
