KUCHING: A total of 1,300 jobs will be up for grabs at the Sarawak Career and Training Fair (SCaT Fair) 2023.
Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Datuk Roland Sagah said the employment opportunities would be offered by 36 companies taking part in the fair.
The fair will be held at three different zones namely, Northern Zone (Miri Division) at Marina City Mall on Oct 7 and 8, theSouthern Zone (Kuching) on Nov 25 and 26 at Wisma Sabati that will be attended by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the third, Central Zone (Sibu Division) at a date to be confirmed later.
“We are targeting no less than 7,000 visitors and 10,000 online viewers who are looking for job opportunities or skills training,” he said during a press conference here yesterday.
SCaT Fair 2023 is jointly organised by the Ministry in collaboration with Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas) with the support of the Social Security Organisation (Socso).
It will be open to the public from 8am to 5pm.
“Overall, SCaT Fair 2023 will have a total of 60 exhibitors comprising 27 participants from education and training institutions and 36 from companies,”
