KUCHING: The 14th Matta Fair Sarawak is expected to see a 30 percent increase in visitors and a total of RM9 million in sales turnover this year.

The annual event organised by the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Sarawak Chapter from March 8 until 10, will be held at the Main Promotional Hall of the Boulevard Shopping Mall here.

The fair, which promises to provide visitors enticing offers and a vast selection of travel choices from domestic to international destinations, is usually a big hit amongst would-be travellers for its low priced offers.

Matta Sarawak chairman and organising chairman Dayang Azizah Abang Aidan said, “This year we will continue our growth with more exhibitors from the tourism industry, including Matta members, taking up 76 booths which is an increase from the last instalment.

“The fair is a platform for both travel professionals and the public, for the operators they will have access to a mass of potential clients and to the public, an array of choices to choose from, so it’s a win-win for everyone.”
