20 residents in Simanggang receive food aid

SIMANGGANG: Twenty residents received food donation worth RM100 from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) at a Ukas programme today (28 July).

Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis presented the aid to the residents, who comprised mostly the disabled and the elderly.

The programme, which is Ukas’ corporate social responsibility, was held with several objectives in mind.

They are conducting post Covid-19 situational analysis at grassroots level, getting input on the current state of the grassroots, assisting the target group through an efficient and effective approach, sowing goodwill among the population through community work, and strengthening ties among the people.

Also present were a representative of Sri Aman Resident administrative officer Faizal Asi, district Ukas officer Juhara Jorni, Sri Aman Municipal Council deputy chairman Cr Andar Suntai, Cr Denneil Saweng and Cr Gerunsen Nyelang.
