BINTULU: Twenty-two summonses were issued during Ops Puspakom at Jalan Tanjung Kidurong/Jalan Glass Sand near Puspakom Bintulu on Thursday (Oct 27).

The Department of Road Transport (JPJ) Bintulu conducted a roadblock on the road.

Commercial vehicles that had completed inspections at Puspakom Bintulu and private vehicles were inspected at the roadblock.

The department stated the operation was to ensure there were no violations of the rules for vehicles that had been inspected at Pusapkom.

“Apart from that, it was also to increase awareness of road users on the importance of following the safety rules on the road,” it said.

About 100 vehicles were inspected throughout the operation on Thursday morning.
