KUCHING: Twenty-seven participants have completed the Food Handlers Training Course and received their certificates to be able to establish their own food outlets.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang extended his congratulations to all the participants and hoped similar courses could be organised in the future.

“Thank you to Mas Gading Community College as well as Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Batu Kitang Branch women chief Naimah Salleh for organising this course.

“I am sure that the participants, who are my constituents, will benefit from what they have learnt from the course in handling food once they are into the food business.

“I hope in the future, similar courses can be organised for those who are interested in venturing into food business and other businesses,” said Lo, after the handover of the certificates to the participants at Batu Kitang Service Centre, today.

At the same time, Mas Gading Community College Director Ts Shirley Phillip said that this course is compulsory for anyone who wants to be in the food business.

“This is compulsory for those involve in the food business. The certificates given to the participants are from the Ministry of Health (MoH) and can be used for a lifetime and throughout Malaysia.

“Thanks to the PBB Batu Kitang and also to the assemblyman for allowing us to use the service centre to organise the programme,” she said.
