415 new cases recorded in state

KUCHING: Sarawak today registered 415 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally to 301,085.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said of the total, 407 are under categories 1 and 2, while the others are in categories 3, 4 and 5.

“A total of 108 are in category 1, while 299 are in category 2. Four are in category 3, and two each are in categories 4 and 5,” it said today.

Kuching registered the most cases with 131, followed by Miri with 76.

“The rest of the cases were reported in Sibu, Serian, Tebedu, Samarahan, Sarikei, Sri Aman, Kanowit, Bau, Betong, Tatau, Pusa, Dalat, Mukah, Simunjan, Limbang, Kabong, Meradong, Matu, Lundu, Lawas, Julau and Sebauh.”

SDMC added that there are no new clusters detected.

“The number of clusters in Sarawak remains at six with no new additional cases reported in the existing clusters,” it said.
