MUKAH: Demand for laptop computers here has increased lately and stocks are also running out fast.
A computer dealer identified only as Sim claimed that one of reasons for a high demand could be due to e-learning, which has become part of a new normal following the movement restrictions due to Covid-19 pandemic.
He said there was no stock at his outlet currently and if there was any, it would be snapped up fast.
According to him, the supply was also slow following the movement restrictions due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“Beside the readily available limited stock, I also take orders from customers who hope to receive their stuff as soon as possible,” he told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
Sim also revealed that although the price of laptop computers has increased, the demand was still high.
It is learned that the price increase happened during the movement restrictions period.
Sim’s computer outlet, which involved in sales and service as well as other related services, is one of the three computer shops operating here.
