MIRI: Farmers in the Senadin State Constituency have been assured that their applications for farming assistance will be expedited.

Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also Senadin assemblyman, disclosed that his constituency had received a lot of applications for assistance for agriculture tools and fertilisers from the farmers.

“I still have a lot of applications which are being processed and waiting for approval. Those who need help should let us know and we will try to expedite their requests,” he said.

Lee hoped that the assistance would help the farmers to increase their productivity.

The minister was met today after presenting farming assistance worth RM507,000 to 33 local farmers in his constituency at the district agriculture training centre here.

Also present was his district agriculture officer, Alex Ding.
