KUCHING: Members of Sibu 4×4 Owners Club recently donated RM10,000 to a single mother after coming across her plight on NGO Hope Place Kuching’s social media.

Hope Place said the club was amazed that they managed to collect such a big amount within just a few days for Norlela Bujang.

“Norlela is a single mother who’s suffering from severe diabetes, which has made both her legs swollen and change color. Worse still, she has already become partially blind, so she is unable to find any income for herself and her nine-year-old daughter.”

Hope Place revealed that the club’s Kuching representative, Wong Siong Ping, met with Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan to hand over the donation to Norlela’s home in Satok.

“They handed over RM2,000 to her while the remaining RM8,000 will be divided into a monthly donation of RM500 whereby club members will bank in directly to Norlela’s bank account every month.”

Hope Place also expressed its gratitude to club members for their generosity.
