KUCHING: Sacofa Sdn Bhd (Sacofa) donated nearly RM20,000 to 23 suraus, mosques, religious schools and ongoing Ramadan Bazaars in support of the Muslim community in the state during this holy month of Ramadan.

The annual activity is part of Sacofa’s overall Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to give back to the community through community outreach and corporate philanthropy.

Other than places of worship, Sacofa had also donated to other organisations such as local councils, primary and secondary schools, institutions of higher learning, veterans’ associations, sports associations, and organisations supporting the physically challenged.

Sacofa is the leading telecommunications infrastructure company in the state. The contributions are in line with its ongoing commitment to community development and investment.

According to Sacofa in a media statement today, the company had in previous years contributed a total of RM146,668 while the cumulative amount donated in conjunction with the fasting month over the past three years is approximately RM50,000.
