The children who were given early Christmas treats

This year, thirty-six less disadvantaged children received Christmas gifts early.

The Christmas celebration was hosted on Saturday (Dec 24) at Taka Patisserie in Saradise by Hope Place Kuching, and it was full with enjoyable activities, Christmas carols, treats, and gifts for the children, who ranged in age from four to seventeen.

Taka Patisserie managing director Leong Kia Chun expressed his delight at the success of the event, which offered joy to the children during this festive season.

Taka is keen on programs like this and we have been contributing to our society on many occasions. We hope to provide the children with a memorable Christmas this year, he stated.

In addition, 20 volunteers from Ablaze Youth Group and other public volunteers joined forces to organise games and songs in which everyone could participate.

Hope Place expressed its appreciation for the numerous volunteers who willingly volunteered their time and gave back to the community.
