Abang Johari receives two courtesy calls

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received two courtesy calls at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today (Aug 20).

The first courtesy call was from a delegation from the Association of Bumiputera Consulting Engineers led by Ir Talha Affendi.

The courtesy call was aimed to brief the chief minister on its current development and its previous success in helping to implement the projects recommended by the government.

Following the call, the association also presented a contribution of RM20,000 to the Covid-19 Sarawak Disaster Fund.

The second call was from the committee members of Koperasi Perkumpulan Wanita Sarawak Berhad (Koperwanis) led by its chairwoman, Norjanah Razali.

According to Norjanah, the call was meant to introduce Koperwanis committee members and to inform about its business programme and training centre.

Norjanah also said that the Federation of Sarawak Women’s Institute (PPWS) is determined to provide opportunities for women to reach their potential in all fields as well as improve the living standards and status of women through planned and effective activities.
