KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadhilah Yusof lauded the extraordinary celebrations of Hari Raya in Sarawak, as over 6,000 visitors flocked to his open house today.

Fadhilah, who is Petra Jaya MP, expressed gratitude to the attendees, saying it emphasised the strong spirit of togetherness among Sarawakians.

“When I visited Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s open house, there were so many people. The same goes when I visited Semariang assemblywoman Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali and Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki’s open house, there were also many people.

“And for today, my open house was supposed to start at 10 am, but people started arriving at 9.15 am.

“This strengthens our unity, and I hope it will endure, as this is the foundation of our strength in Sarawak: unity, living in harmony regardless of our backgrounds; we are all brothers and sisters,” he said.

He told reporters this at his Hari Raya open house at Hikmah Exchange Event Centre.
