KUCHING: Sarawak Federation of Chinese Associations (SFCA) on Sunday (Aug 9) assisted the Sarawak Social Welfare Department (JKM) in distributing 305 Kenyalang Gold Cards (KGCs) to the approved recipients.

SFCA president Datuk Richard Wee said per request by JKM, the programme was organised on a Sunday at Gala City here by the association so it would be convenient for the recipients to collect their cards.

“Those eligible to apply for the card can also come over and seek assistance from the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang branch in filling in the application form,” he said.

He said this to reporters during the ‘Assist in Distribution of Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC)’ programme held at Gala City on Sunday (Aug 9).

He also said that for those who did not turn up to collect their cards at the programme, which ended at 12pm, the association would seek other ways to get in touch with them.

“JKM will be distributing the cards gradually so the association will be willing to assist the government any time as long as it benefits the community,” he added.
