MIRI: Considering something noteworthy to do on New Year’s Day? Then donating the life-saving fluid, perhaps, can be a meaningful activity to kick off 2024.

The local community should make it their duty to come forward to donate their blood on Jan 1 at Level 1, New Wing, Bintang Megamall here.

The blood donation drive, jointly organised by the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) and Shun Shen Lee Trading (Miri) Sdn Bhd, is to replenish Miri Hospital’s blood stock.

Donors can donate their blood starting from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

In addition to contributing to a noble cause, successful donors will receive a bundle of goodies, including a 5-kg rice packet, bread, and a 2024 calendar.

Meanwhile, a total of 100 packets of rice have been contributed by Shun Shen Lee Trading to NSJA, which will be distributed to the donors.

Branch manager Jimmy Yii handed over the packets to NSJA, which was received by its president Chai Choon Chin yesterday (Dec 28).
