Bintulu attains 47.8 pct jab registration

BINTULU: A total of 47.8 percent or 93, 595 residents out of 195,700 residents have registered in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme through MySejahtera application and manual registration at the district office and health clinics.

Its Resident, Jack Aman Luat hoped for the community leaders to help the community, especially senior citizens facing problems with the registration.

As of Tuesday, he said, a total of 51,812 residents had registered using the MySejahtera applicatio; 2,274 for Tatau district and 1,546 for Sebauh district.

Meanwhile, through the manual registration via Google Forms at the district office, 16,911 have registered plus 7,227 registering themselves in Tatau district whereas 6,228 residents in Sebauh district have registered for the Covid-19 vaccination.

“Manual registration at the health clinic was quite slow with only 1, 909 applications received in the district; 5,073 for Tatau district while 555 residents have registered for Sebauh district,” he said at the press conference on the development and the implementation of new SOPs to address Covid-19 held at the Resident Office on Tuesday.

Aman who is also the chairman of the Divisional Disaster Management Committee (BDDMC) stated that the registration for the vaccine programme was still underway with the population encouraged to register through either MySejahtera application or manually at the district office or health clinics nearby.
