KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today expressed satisfaction with the progress government development projects in Bintulu.

This followed a meeting with Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) on the roads and infrastructure projects as well as water and electricity supplies in Bintulu.

“I chaired the meeting this morning and we agreed on several matters, including to improve and extend the water and electricity supplies to more longhouses and villages here,” he told reporters at a press conference at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Ulu Segan in Bintulu today.

However, he said, the implementation of the projects would require more time as it involved installation of pipes.

As for the Bintulu-Jepak Bridge, the construction is expected to be completed by the end of year and would become a new attraction and landmark in Bintulu.

Apart from that, Abang Johari said the Resident’s Office will be relocated to the area that is being developed.
