Bomba receives 4 boats from YaPEIM Sarawak

KUCHING: The state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has just received four new boats valued at RM44,000 from the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM) Sarawak this morning.

The boats, equipped with eight horsepower and two-stroke Mercury engines, and each worth RM11,000, were handed over to the department for firefighting and rescue operations.

Bomba Sarawak director Datuk Khirudin Drahman said two of the boats will be stationed in Kuching Zone while, the other two will be sent over to Miri Zone.

Khirudin received the new assets from YaPEIM Sarawak administrative centre state manager Fadlie Zamuri at the department’s headquarters in Jalan Setia Raja.
