KUCHING: The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) effectively quelled a fire that broke out at the Malaysian Scout Association Sarawak Branch building situated on Jalan Batu Lintang.

“The upper part, a semi-permanent structure, sustained approximately 80 per cent damage. The estimated fire area was 100 square feet by 100 square feet and fortunately, no casualties were reported,” it said.
