MIRI: The Federation of Miri Division Chinese Associations Sarawak held a charitable calligraphy activity at Bintang Megamall here in conjunction with Chinese New Year cerebration recently.
Minister for Transport Sarawak Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin officiated at the event, which was also attended by Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang and the Federation of Miri Division Chinese Associations Sarawak president Datuk David Goh.
A total of 30 teachers and students from Tudan Methodist Church Learning Centre lead by headmistress Joyce Bulan Laing also participated in the activity.
The students together with organising committee members also practiced writing Chinese calligraphy at the event.
The students also received gift bags, Chinese New Year angpow besides being treated to delicious food, a meaningful weekend indeed for them.
