KUCHING: Have no idea where to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Worry no more, as The Raintree Restaurant at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) will be offering its memorable and romantic dinner cuisine on the Day of Love.
According to a press release issued by the restaurant yesterday, it is offering a five-course meal of Valentine Day’s special cuisine for RM299 per couple or RM150 per person.
The dinner begins with the ‘First Date Action’, prawn and mussel ceviche, tossed orange vinaigrette, and continues with the ‘Salting of Love’, cream of tomato soup with garlic confit and parmesan grassini stick, as the evening’s appetiser.
As a palate-cleanser, the ‘Middle of Love’, calamansi, and sour plum granite will be served as the third course before the main course.
Guests can choose between three selections for the ‘Burning Passion’ main course for the event.
The first is stuffed mushroom turkey roulade, which is served with eggplant caponata and spinach couscous in a brown butter and mushroom mustard sauce.
“Slow braised beef cheek, paired with panache of vegetables, gratin sweet potato, and a rich pot of beef juice, is the second option for the main dish.
“The third option is a pan-seared salmon steak, served with pumpkin puree, sauté mushroom and French bean with Creamy Pistachio Sauce,” it said.
The restaurant said the ‘Eternal Love Stories’ Entremets Mousse, served with chocolate vanilla passion, geleo butterscotch sauce, and coffee or tea, is the perfect way to end the evening.
For those who book as a couple will receive a complimentary box of chocolate pralines and a single red rose.
