A construction worker (top right) is working again at a commercial project after the supply of cement returned to normal.

MUKAH: The supply of cement here has returned to normal and the construction sector and related sectors are now fully back in business.

A retailer said he expected a consignment of cement for his shop to arrive yesterday.

“Yes, there is cement in the market here now,” he told New Sarawak Tribune.

The retailer in his 50s and who preferred anonymity runs a hardware shop.

A teacher who was in the process of extending his house was forced to stop for a while due to the movement control order (MCO). He, therefore, breathed a sigh of relief when he finally obtained some cement last Friday.

“I ordered the cement on Tuesday, and the retailer delivered it to me on Friday,” he said.

The 51-year-old teacher, who identified himself as just Fernandez, hoped that he could complete his project before school reopens.
