SIBU: Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak (PAKK) or Children’s Activity Centre in Sibu Jaya plays an important role in the effort to produce more human capital that is valuable to the nation and the country.

Chairman of Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC), Sempurai Petrus Ngelai said the centre provides various activities such as skills classes, psychological education, sports and games, tours, celebrations, and counselling services.

Sempurai said the centre also provides a place to review lessons for children living in the Sibu Jaya area.

“This centre means a lot to our children, especially those who live in the flat area of Sibu Jaya who has limited space to revise their lessons.

“With the existence of this centre, they can study here in a more conducive atmosphere as well as help them in learning,” he said when speaking at the ‘4 in 1’ Council of the Child Protection Team and the Sibu Jaya Children’s Activity Centre, yesterday.
