BINTULU: A clean-up was carried out last Saturday (July 11) at Bintulu Assyakirin Mosque to help the local community keep Covid-19 at bay.
The programme organised by Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Over 100 company staff members came to help the local community cope with the pandemic in their daily lives by cleaning their house of worship.
BPHB Group chief executive officer Datuk Mohammad Medan Abdullah and senior management staff members were present at the programme.
The clean-up started as early as 8.30am and when it was finished, there was a presentation of donations by Medan to Assyakirin mosque management in a brief ceremony. BPHB is committed to expanding its noble effort to other places of worship in the surrounding areas in the near future.
