KUALA LUMPUR: Co-opbank Pertama (CBP) has announced the highest dividend payment since its incorporation amounting to RM60.91 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022 (FY2022).
Chief executive officer Khairil Anuar Mohamad Anuar said the higher dividend payout compared with RM58.94 million in FY2021 will benefit 91,133 eligible CBP members.
“The total CBP shares amounted to RM985.43 million as at Dec 31, 2022,” he said in a statement today.
“The net dividend rate for FY2022 is 6.88 per cent for Islamic Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares (iRCPS) and 6.30 per cent for ordinary shares and this is comparable with the dividend rate paid by other investment funds in Malaysia,” he added.
The Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission has approved the dividend payment for ordinary shares and iRCPS for FY2022 as applied.
CBP members can make dividend withdrawals online through the e-Semakan CBP website starting from July 7, 2023, while the dividend statements can be reviewed from July 11, 2023 at https://dividen.cbp.com.my.
For FY2022, CBP recorded a profit before tax of RM103.43 million, up 20 per cent from RM86.14 million in FY2021, driven by the implementation of effective business strategies by the CBP management. – BERNAMA
