KUCHING: The August intake for Kolej Sunway Kuching’s Diploma in Accounting (DIA) and Diploma in Business Management (DIBM) is currently in progress with classes for both courses to commence on August 27.

Teaching and learning for the August intake will be conducted online until further notice because of ongoing Covid-19 circumstances.

Kolej Sunway Kuching chief executive officer Joseph Lim said that their DIA and DIBM courses were ideal qualifications for students who wanted to keep their options open.

“Both our DIA and DIBM are recognised by employers throughout the country and are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency,” he said in a recent statement.

He said that Sunway diploma graduates will have the option to enter Year 2 of undergraduate programmes at a wide range of top ranking local and overseas universities.

“With our articulation pathways, our DIA and DIBM graduates can choose to study overseas in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.

“Alternatively, they can stay closer to their family and friends by choosing to study at reputable local universities either here in Sarawak or in Peninsular Malaysia,” he said.

The DIA and DIBM both consist of 30 subjects and can be completed in two and a half years of full-time study. To be eligible to enrol for either course, students must have passed their SPM/O levels/UEC examinations with a minimum of three credits. Students who wish to enrol for DIA must also have passed Mathematics.
