MIRI: Nine individuals were each issued with a RM1,000 compound for flouting the recovery movement control order (RMCO) on Thursday.
The individuals were fined at several locations during an operation carried out around Marina Square and Centre Point from 10pm to 12am on Thursday.
The compounds were issued on the spot after these individuals failed to observe social distancing and did not wear face masks in public places.
They were found to have violated the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988(Act 342).
