SARATOK: Cong Nam FT from Saratok won the futsal tournament jointly organised by the Batang Lupar MP Community Service Centre and the Dato Godam Sports Club here.
Cong Nam FT took home the grand prize of RM1,200, along with a trophy and medals.
Runners-up Godam A FT from Pusa had to be satisfied with RM600, along with a trophy and medals.
Kampung Tebelu’s Kastom FT, who claimed third place, received a prize of RM350, along with a trophy and medals.
Jang Bro from Spaoh, the fourth-place holder, was rewarded with a prize of RM250 and medals.
The tournament also recognised outstanding individuals. Ramli Mohd Salleh from Godam A FT was crowned the best goalkeeper while Mawi from Cong Nam FT received the title of the best player. Both received a cash prize of RM50 each.
The prizes were presented by Pusa District Pemanca Awang Raziee Awang Mohd Zain, representing Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli.
Shafizan expressed his full support for local youth development programmes and commended the Dato Godam Sports Club for successfully organising the tournament.
