THE road between Nanga Ngungun (Kanowit District) and Nanga Temalat (Song District) is 7.4 per cent completed.
Assistant Minister of Transportation Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said even though there was a slight delay of 1.5%, construction of construction of the road was still on schedule.
“The road, which is the “missing link” from Sibu to Kapit , is expected to be completed by August 2021 and we hope that we will be able to open it to the public by August 2021”, he said when replying to Alexander Anak Vincent (BN-Ngemah).
To supplementary questions from Alexander, Dr Jerip said the construction cost was RM79,076.000.00 and that the construction period was about 30 months.
“Construction started sometime in February this year and we hope it will be completed by August 2021,” he said.
