KUCHING: It was a frightening experience for a cashier when two robbers robbed a convenience store of RM733 and a mobile phone.
The incident occurred at MJC, Batu Kawa on Thursday noon when the 19-year-old female cashier was manning the outlet.
She has been working at the outlet for about two months.
The victim told police that two men had asked for the price of a packet of cigarettes.
They left without purchasing the cigarettes but a few minutes later, one of them returned armed with a knife and demanded money.
Fearing for her life, she handed over RM733 from the cash register machine. Not satisfied with the amount, the man snatched her cell phone.
The two fled in a car. Police are investigating.
