KUCHING: A brisk walker who claimed that his watch was stolen after he collapsed at the Kuching Waterfront on Sunday (June 18) is requested to claim his watch at the Central Police Station (CPS).
Kuching police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said last night (June 20) said his men managed to help trace the person’s watch after a Facebook post regarding his claim went viral.
On June 19, the police detected a viral post about a man claiming to have lost his watch at the Kuching Waterfront around 6.30 pm on Sunday (June 19).
“We came to know that his watch had been collected by the Waterfront management.
“That said, the person or his next of kin is requested to claim the watch at the Central Police Station near Plaza Merdeka,” he said.
Ahsmon said the person is believed to have fainted while brisk walking at the waterfront.
Once he was treated by paramedics, the person found that his watch went missing and suspected that it might have been stolen.
Because of that, he had resorted to social media to appeal for his watch to be returned.
