SIBU: A six-foot long crocodile on the streets created quite a buzz at the Old Sungai Merah Market area here today (March 26).
The reptile was spotted by many who watched from a safe distance, snapping photos and following its movement on the streets.
Fire and Rescue Department Zone 4 chief Andy Alie said a team from the Sungai Merah Fire and Rescue department was dispatched to the area after it was alerted at about 11:56 am.
It took the team only few minutes to subdue the crocodile.
The crocodile was brought back to the station before being handed over to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation for further action.
