DARO: Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad has stressed the importance of communication skills for members of the Village Development and Safety Committee (JKKK), particularly the Community Chiefs and Village Chiefs (KMKK).

He said these skills are vital for effectively conveying information and government policies to the local community.

“As leaders at the village level, KMKKs also need to be prepared to face challenges and obstacles in carrying out their duties as intermediaries between government agencies and residents.”

He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Strengthening and Improving the Quality of Leadership Workshop for KMKK and JKKK at the District Level in Daro, recently.

Safiee highlighted the significance of trust, sincerity, and honesty in fulfilling their responsibilities as grassroots leaders.

He also shared plans to advance village infrastructure and capital development, aligning with the Sarawak government’s goal to achieve advanced state status by 2030.

“At the same time, KMKK and JKKK need to continuously enhance their quality by staying updated with technological advancements and regularly communicate with government agencies to convey implemented policies.”
