KUCHING: The body of an unidentified man was found afloat in Sungai Tabuan behind a supermarket today (May 8).
A spokesperson from the State Fire Department operations centre said they received a distress call around 11.50am and despatched firemen from Tabuan Jaya station to the scene.
Upon arriving, the team confirmed that a male body was floating in the river.
The team proceeded to retrieve the body and handed it over to the police to be taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further actions.
As at press time, the identity of the body is yet to be known.
