Developers in Samarahan encouraged to emulate the success of HSL in landscaping

KUCHING: The Sarawak Open — Bonsai & Suiseki Championship and Exhibition held at the La Promenade Mall has contributed in promoting landscaping and better quality of life.  

The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Datuk Peter Minos said the Hock Seng Lee has invested in landscaping and enhanced the beauty of La Promenade Mall and its residential precincts.

He said the company has achieved a high and quality standard for landscaping, creating a safe and green environment for the community.

“Their flagship development, La Promenade, is easily the best landscaped development in the whole of Sarawak,” he said in a statement today.

“This shows that everyone in Samarahan, including the private sector, has a role to play in keeping Samarahan green, clean and beautiful.”

“All the housing developers in Samarahan are encouraged to emulate the success of HSL in landscaping,” he said.  

Minos said the event jointly organised by the Sarawak Bonsai Association (SBA) and HSL, also raises awareness on the need to respect nature and environment to improve liveability.

The 2022 Sarawak Open will be the largest ever, featuring an impressive field of 168 trees across Sarawak, from Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu to Miri.

The Sarawak Open — Bonsai & Suiseki Championship and Exhibition is held at La Promenade Mall on Feb 23 to Feb 28.

It featured an impressive field of 168 trees across Sarawak and it is the first Bonsai & Suiseki Competition since 2019.
