MUKAH: Victims of the recent fires in Kampung Lintang, Balingian and in Kampung Mateding Kecil here continued to receive donations from caring citizens and non-governmental organisations.
Lions Club of Mukah and Petian Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) were the latest to donate essential food items and bottled drinks.
Club president Henry Lee Liong Ing and Petian JKKK chairman Kapitan Ting Siew Leong handed over the donations to the recipients at Kampung Lintang and Kampung Mateding Kecil on Monday (May 24).
They hoped that the donations would help lessen the burden faced by the victims.
The fire in Kampung Lintang on May 12 destroyed three houses, and partially damaged two others.
In Kampung Mateding Kecil, one house was destroyed in a fire that happened on May 16. Fortunately, no one was injured in both incidents.
