KUCHING: In an effort to support nearly 70 students at SK Long Pelutan in Baram, school supplies and food assistance were recently delivered to assist them with their studies.
In a press release today, generous contributions from various groups and individuals made it possible to provide the school with essential items such as colour pencils, exercise books, as well as fruits, vegetables, and other necessary food items.
The charity programme was organised by Lions Club of Batu Niah and the Twin Brother Patisserie.
“We are pleased to have handed over the stationery and food supplies to the students and the school. The school primarily accommodates Penan students residing in the hostels, along with the teachers,” said Lions Club of Batu Niah president, Andy Jong Wan Joon.
