MARUDI: The Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) Marudi branch encourages youth to actively engage in business to improve their socio-economic status.

Its president, Datuk Abang Helmi Ikhwan suggested that agricultural activities such as oil palm, rubber, pepper, and others could be enhanced as economic activities besides doing business.

“To carry out these activities, two machines, namely the chain-type soil excavator and the wheeled excavator, have been provided by the Sarawak government through DUBS to boost agricultural activities in Marudi.

“These machines will be used by all registered DUBS members at a much lower rental rate than the usual rate,” he explained.

He said this in his speech at the DUBS Marudi branch Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri 2024 here on Wednesday.

During the same event, a total of 10 recipients consisting of single mothers and persons with disabilities (PwD) received contributions from the organisation.
