DUN to convene in November

KUCHING: The State Legislative Assembly is expected to convene for its Third Meeting of the First Session of the 19th DUN in November.

Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said the next meeting would normally be held six month after the last sitting which was held from May 17 to 26 this year.

“The next sitting will be six month after the last meeting, so usually it will be in November.

“Also, the DUN sitting will be held after the tabling of the federal government Budget in the Dewan Rakyat,” he said.

He said this to reporters during a press conference at the DUN Complex on Today (Aug 14).

Three government bills were passed during the last sitting of the DUN – namely, the Supplementary Supply (2022) Bill, 2022; Land Code (Amendment) Bill, 2022; and Forest (Amendment) Bill, 2022.
