BINTULU: A man and a woman were apprehended by police for being involved in a drug activity on Thursday.
Bintulu OCPD Supt Batholomew Umpit said that the suspects were arrested by the district’s Narcotic Criminal Investigation Division during an operation
“Upon inspection, the police found one of the suspects was carrying 0.7 grammes of methamphetamine.
“Both suspects also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine,” said Batholomew.
The suspects, aged 22 and 28, are detained under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. One suspect is also detained under Section 12(2) of the same act.
Batholomew advised the public who have any information on any drug related criminal activities to call the Bintulu district police at 086-318304.
