KUCHING: In conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration, 50 Indian families have received food aid from Kuching South City Council (MBKS).

In its press release, MBKS said that the initiative embodied the essence of Deepavali spreading light and alleviating the darkness in the lives of the fellow community members.

“In the spirit of unity and appreciation, we have also prepared homemade cookies and gifts to our Indian staff to acknowledge their contributions during this celebration.

“As we come together today, let us remember the words of wisdom which I always mentioned, “Leave no one behind.”

“Let us embrace these words and work together to create a more compassionate community, where the light of Deepavali shines on every heart,” it said.

It expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Everrise for itsgenerous sponsorship, which had made the food aid possible.

“Your support in providing food rations for these families is a beacon of hope, and it reflects the true spirit of giving during this festive season,” added the council.
