Education roadshow a boon to students, says it helps in career-study decision

BAU: Over 400 students from secondary schools in Bau recently attended the Project of Dreams Realised (PRO-DR) education roadshow.

Bau marks the second stop of the roadshow and will be making its tour for a month which ends in Lawas with about 30 public and private education institutions, education funding agencies involved.

Organised by TEGAS Community Innovative Learning, the main objective is to assist students post Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) in continuing their studies.

New Sarawak Tribune spoke to several students on their thoughts about the education roadshow.

This programme helps a lot of students who wish to further their studies after completing pre-university level. From this programme, students will get to obtain more information about their desired courses that they wish to pursue in the future and get to set their career pathway.

After visiting several booths, I obtained a lot of new information as I get to ask a lot of questions from the representatives of the agencies involved. For example, I asked a lot of questions from Swinburne University Sarawak campus and I get to know more about the fees structure and also the courses available.
