BAU: An elderly woman was left homeless after her farm house in Kampung Apar, Singai, was engulfed in flames this morning.
No injuries were reported as the 68-year-old tenant managed to evacuate the house to safety.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that they received a distress call on the incident at 9.07 am.
Following that, firemen from Bau station were promptly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found that the wooden house was beyond saving.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
