SIBU: Members of PKR in the region have been told to keep themselves updated and to disseminate information on Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) policies to the public, after forming the federal government last year in May.
Its adviser for Lanang Division, George Chen said that they have only achieved half of their mission by changing the federal government.
“Our next task is to change the Sarawak government in the next state election,” he said during a Dumpling Festival last Sunday.
The state election is due in 2021.
Chen also encouraged party members and supporters to emulate the leadership of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in which he had been popular for sticking to principles, as well as his perseverance in fighting for the country’s integrity while facing great challenges.
The event saw the participation of about 120 party members and their relatives and friends.
